Air Quality Update for Thursday, September 12th

Dear Alvord Families,

We are actively monitoring the air quality in our region. Currently, the air quality is rated as moderate, according to data from the South Coast Air Quality Management District. Additionally, after discussions with CalFire leadership and Riverside University Health System (our county health department), our District is set to move to a modified inclement weather schedule tomorrow, September 12th. Students will have the option to engage in low-impact outdoor activities or remain indoors for recess and meals. Athletic events will resume and be monitored using wet bulb regulations, as required by CIF. 

We appreciate your ongoing support and cooperation throughout this week. As our region faces the effects of these destructive wildfires, we extend our thoughts to neighboring districts. We also want to express our gratitude to the firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect our communities.

We will remain in close communication with our public safety partners and will continue sharing updates through ParentSquare, our website, and social media platforms. Thank you for your attention.
